Wazee Lake is a 146 acre lake located in Jackson County. A large sandy beach and boat launch were added in 1996. Students will complete the four open water dives needed over these two days. We took each of our kids out in our kayak briefly and they each caught a little bluegill. Nice walking paths too. There is camping area too. and we plan on spending an extra day next year in Black River Falls just so we can do a beach day here. Location: Lake Wazee, Black River Falls, WI. Registration is required to participate. The lake isn’t huge, but it’s plenty big enough to enjoy with a kayak or a canoe, and it’s really an ideal swimming beach for little kids. So glad we happened upon this beautiful "lake". No motored boats allowed but can kayak. Was quite a challenge but worth it. Please schedule appointments 24-48 hours in advance.
