DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV) - Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, Wisconsin Fishing Expo, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced the opening of a new boat launch on Wednesday, June 13th. A launch fee is required. Dane County lakes, rivers, and streams offer abundant opportunities for boating, fishing and paddling adventures.
For other boat launch or shore fishing sites, please contact the county, city, village or township listed in the information box for conditions. The fees for 2016 are as follows; Daily - $8.00, non motorized/non trailered - $7.00. Dane County has acquired nearly 24 miles of streambank easements that provide public access to these streams and is a leader in improving cold water habitat in these areas.Please respect the landowner's property and carry out any trash. The restrooms, boarding docks and route of travel are accessible.The slope to the boarding dock exceeds the maximum allowable for ADA accessibility purposes (June/2010).
