At the end of season 7 there is a fun episode with a real reporter doing a retrospective on the whole show Murphy Brown which would have been the perfect ending to the show but there is three more seasons with a different feel to it.
With season 21 it seemed the episodes didn’t really follow a story arch , and they didn’t seem to stand out or be terribly funny on their own.

South Park did not have a moment where the show’s quality started to fall. I had hopes with the new season but with the last episodes was also a let down.I say this as a huge fan, but the best days of South Park are long gone.A few seasons ago, South Park transitioned from being a comedy show with touches of subtle social commentary to a political/social commentary show with touches of humor.The show has moved away from its strengths and the quality has suffered immensely.The best episodes of SP (Weapons, Towers, Boobage, Tenorman, Homeless, Casa Bonita, Rainforest, Fried Chicken, Woodland, Warcraft, Butters, etc.) I feel like, after the past couple seasons (that i liked but were at the bottom of my SP list for sure) that was definitley a fucking great punch in the America-dick. She clearly has done nothing like that before which Jimmy knows and thinks that will make everyone think it is hilarious. The assassin is so well connected that he is virtually untouchable.
A good reason being some fans who started watching this show in reruns only saw the last 7 of the 12 seasons.

This gimmick strayed absurdly outside the original storyline Plus her unusual singing style is actually the same way she talks so when she says one of the jokes the audience does not seem to know what she said and if they should laugh and Jimmy seems to be delighted by that. The previous show was a retrospective looking back at the previous great moments which seems like it should have been the last episode made to make a great ending to this excellent show. IMO, South Park's first "Jump The Shark" moment was when Chef died and they remixed the intro theme song. Thats what ive been missing about the older SP, is that they just had no regards to how it came out they just wanted to do what everyone else was thinking.I thought it was very funny.
