Many of my friends and family recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The Churning of the Ocean Dahi puri is my favorite.

Service at this place is something one can call terrific. No more side by side tables with dirty plates sitting there for 30 minutes. The place was pretty busy when we were there and there was a line to order, but it moved pretty quickly and it didn't take too long to get your food. Very filling and delicious.Delicious South Indian food. The owner was so kind and accommodated the menu for us.
The Bhaturas (poori) were soft and perfect to scoop up the Chole. This restaurant has got Google 4.1 according to the guests' opinions.This is one of our favorite vegetarian restaurants. Useful 2.

We ordered a bunch of items (listed below) and just shared everything. They call out your number, but it was really hard to hear. It was very reasonably priced, which is a big plus. This is also a VEGETARIAN ONLY restaurant, so don't get your hopes up if you want meat, you carnivores! I'm talking seriously delicious food that's cheaper than pretty much any other Indian place in Houston.Craving food from here as I type this review. I've been coming here for years (at least 5 since my first review was 5 years ago) they've "upgraded" from yelling out table numbers on the microphone to buzzers, however, multiple buzzers go off at the same time and can get confusing who's food belongs to who. This spot with the lovely atmosphere can be a good dining place on your route. You definitely get the taste of India's street food here. Cool. Most visitors mention that the staff is patient. I definitely recommend this place if you don't mind vegetarian food and are up for trying cultural food. Haven't tried the vegetable biryani here, but being a place popular for chaat items, feel it might be a mistake.I'm so glad I finally got to try Shiv Sagar. We got the Cheese Dosa, Dahi Puri, Papdi Chaat, Cheese Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, and Aloo Paratha.So good! Very friendly and attentive staff. I really like the samosa chaat and the other types of curries. I've been coming here for almost 5 years since my Indian friend took me. It was built by the Hindus staying there from the late 1970s but complete renovation was done in the year 2007.

What safety measures are they taking? I highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area. It is pretty big and so you don't need more. She recommended the Sev Puri appetizer and a Masala Dosa. The coconut chutney was the perfect balance to the upma's and dosa's spiciness. All dishes are around $5-$7, and was very reasonably priced. We got a fully vegan Thali that was incredible and a not spicy Spring Dosa that my family loved! The Chole Bhatura was absolutely delicious. The Shiv Sagar Temple is located on the eastern side of Mauritius.
They called out my table in around 8 mins.
