I have built two PC's both AIO cooled with that CPU...it runs hot. Once i can encourage parents to get me a noctua NH-D15 I will replace it. Honestly, I think that 60C is not too bad if it is under a full load.In fact, those temps are quite good for under load.... (is MCE enabled, out of curiosity? I also got the hyper 212 evo Basically got a 8700k with a 240mm aio. It only runs at 90 for like a few seconds at the start of benchmark and then it cools itself down
I would suggest, if you were really concerned, to get at least a 140mm aio, or a twin tower air cooler like this one
It's also $10 off right now. So my 8700k is running at around 80-83c whilst playing BF1 and everything is stock at 4,3Ghz with turbo and its running a noctua se2 nh u9b.

Sorry, the non overclockable, lower clocked, lower TPD coffeelake doesn't run hot :P. The 8700k overclocked or stock runs really hot. Cryorig Universal coolers and the NH-D15 will have almost no clearance issues, plus you can just return it anyway if on the off chance it does interfere. I get 40 Degrees celsius while idle and 60 degrees celsius when under load. USANorth of the south pole, but south of the north pole.
Are these normal temps or should i consider doing something with? Usually, normal CPU temperature is ambient room temperature but you should consider 70°C to be the maximum CPU temp range for a long period.
You can use any cooler you like. Since the cooler is huge and has two fans.

I suspect you may have more headroom. Naturally I'm very paranoid and apprehensive about everything. The 8700k is a hot chip.
If you're overclocking and at, or below, low 80s (ESPECIALLY on Coffee Lake), you're golden!

is this normal safe temp, the cpu seems to kind of downclock from the 4.4ghz that it runs at and down it to 3.9GHZ as the cpu gets,hotter in benchmark. Of course, if you can catch a sale, I'd go new for the warranty.
